Documentary film production workshop. A three day intensive film production workshop at the Tarhimu Taller de Investigación, providing youth from Purepecha communities with training for the use of documentary film for self-representation and community projects. Ihuatzio, Michoacán, México.



“Imágenes Vivas II” second part of the collaborative/intercultural film production workshop. A month long intensive class with youth from the Purepecha communities and the city of Morelia. The workshop was made in collaboration with the Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes [CONACULTA], via the Dirección General de Culturas Populares and its Unidad Regional en Michoacán. The result of the experience was the documentary short film titled “Japontarhu Ueratinl” (Those from the Lake), official selection of the 11vo Festival de Cine y Video Indígena (FECVI) and the Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM).



Documentary film production workshop, a three module intensive class at El Colegio de la Frontera Norte, providing training to students from the Master in Cultural Studies program and the PhD in Social Science for the use of documentary film as a tool for their thesis projects.
